About

Brothers in Arms is a Golden Kamuy fanzine about the 7th Division and its characters, including former members. We aim to portray important events in the life of its members through art and writing and potentially include merch too.Due to the nature of the source material, this zine will be PG-16. It will include violence and mature topics such as the ones portrayed in canon. That being said, we won’t include explicit sexual content. This zine will be digital only and all profits will be donated to a charity which will be decided at a later date.More information can be found in our guidelines and FAQ.

Guidelines

General Guidelines
★ All applicants must be at least 16 years old by the time of application results.
★ All applicants must have a Discord account, be willing to regularly check the zine Discord server, and respond to any DMs from zine mods. Discord will be our main method for communicating with the team.
★ If an applicant/contributor is revealed to hold bigoted beliefs (racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, etc.) or have created pedophilic or incestuous content, they will be rejected/kicked out of the project.
★ Plagiarism of any sort will not be tolerated. We do consider AI plagiarism and will not remotely entertain accepting AI in the zine either.
★ Your portfolio must be accessible to view. If we are unable to look at your portfolio, you will be disqualified.
★ As the zine won’t include explicit sexual content, we ask that your portfolio doesn’t include it either. On your own time, you’re more than welcome to create such content, just not for this zine.
★ All applicants must be willing to create at least one new piece; reusing work that has already been published is not permitted.
★ Responsiveness is a must: we understand that our contributors have a lot on their plates! However, slow or nonexistent communication will severely hinder our progress. If you need extra time or need to drop out, please let us know as soon as you can!
★ Mods reserve the right to dismiss contributors at any time for violating Zine guidelines.

FAQ

Q: What is a fanzine?
A: A fanzine is an unofficial publication generally made by non-professionals featuring art, writing and other similar mediums. The themes can be almost anything that its creators enjoy.
Q: Will there be NSFW content?
A: We wanted to avoid using the term ‘NSFW’ because some people do consider violence to fall under that category, however, NSFW as it refers to sexual content won’t be included.
Q: What characters will this zine feature?
A: Any characters that either are part of the 7th Division or were formerly a part of it. There’s a chance characters outside of that group will appear, but never as the main focus of a piece.
Q: How will contributors be compensated?
A: As this project will be digital and for charity, we won’t be able to offer contributors compensation. Please keep that in mind when applying.
Q: Will mods be allowed to contribute?
A: Yes, but it will be optional and they won't take any spots away from regular contributors.
Q: Can I apply for more than one position?
A: Yes, but you will only be accepted for one.
Q: Who is allowed to apply?
A: Anyone who is at least 16 years old and follows the guidelines.
Q: Will follower count matter in application?
A: Absolutely not. We believe that follower count doesn't reflect skill and are fully open to include smaller creators.
Q: Do I need previous zine experience?
A: Absolutely not. We welcome anyone no matter how much experience they have. We also encourage you to ask any questions you may have to the mod team.
